PE

Please come dressed in your PE kit on our PE day, which is a Monday and Friday this half term. Also if children are taking part in an afterschool club then pleased come dressed in kit for that day too!

Earrings must be removed for all PE lessons. Please make sure your child can take out their own earrings or remove them at home on PE days. Hair must also be tied back.

Homework

Children are working on spellings based on our class phonic work and our red words (these don't always follow a spelling rule). We send new spellings out via Class Dojo messenger each Friday, the spellings are also listed at the bottom of our class page. The spellings are tested on the following Friday. Please support your child/children with this at home if you can. 

 

 

 

 

Reading

Reading books will be sent home each week and changed on a Monday.  Please try and find the time to read with your child at least 3 times a week and record this in their reading diary.  Please ensure books and reading diaries are in school every day.

E-books can be found on the Oxford Owls website, creating an account is free and you are able to select books from the same colour band your child is currently working on.

Lexia,Times Table Rock Stars and Numbots

Some Year 1 and Year 2 have access to Lexia, Times Table Rockstars and Numbots at home. These online learning activities will help improve their skills in reading and mental maths calculation. If you need help accessing these apps, please ask.
