Spellings are tested each day. They are based upon our class phonic work (Year 1) and Active Spelling (Year 2), our children practise them throughout the week. Please support your child by practising at home if you can, for Year 1 the first 4 all have a sound in common and the fifth is a "red" word which is a word that is used a lot but may not have a recognisable spelling pattern. For Year 2, the spellings have a theme which should be highlighted in each word.
