Elm Class

Welcome from Miss Winn, Mrs Dixon and all the Year 5 and 6 pupils of Elm Class.

With the addition of year 4 in the afternoons, we are ready to tackle our first topic of the year which is 'ID'.

Please check the Tetney Primary School facebook page for the daily happenings and fun in Elm class.

Just a reminder, PE is on a Monday morning and a Thursday - please enure children have both indoor and outdoor kit in school through this wintery time.

Homework is due in on a Thursday and handed back on a Friday.

What is ID all about?

Who do you think you are? Are you an extrovert or an introvert, a singleton or a twin... or even a triplet??

Let's discover what makes you, you!

From your fingerprints and footprints to your genes and DNA, everthing is unique to you. So why do you look just like Mum or Dad, or even Auntie Rose?

Explore the world of human identity and how our unique features can be used to tell us apart from others or help to solve crime!

Write narratives, poems and express your opinions, views and beliefs. Do you like the same things as others or are your tastes uniquely yours?

Then it's time for some detective work! In the case of the stolen hangbag, use your knowledge and skills to solve the crime and identify the culprit.

And remember to love being you! Why? Because there's only one you: you're one of a kind!
