Homework

For this term, the weekly expectation for homework is as follows:

- 40 minutes over the course of the week using the Lexia website / app. This will supplement work carried out in English. Each pupil has 20 minutes using it in school each week so please top this up by logging in at home. Log-ins were sent out at the start of the year; please ask Mr Miles if you require these again.

- at least ten minutes a day playing Times Table Rockstars to help quick recall of multiplication and division facts. Log-ins were sent out at the start of the year; please ask Mr Miles if you require these again. If you cannot access TTR* at home, please use the multiplication grid below to practise times tables knowledge. Numbots might also be good to continue supporting fluency with number recall.

- reading to an adult five times a week, for roughly ten minutes each time. Please discuss what has been read, using the question matrix on our English page here. Please ensure that a comment is written by yourself (not a pupil) in the reading record so that staff can see what was read and discussed.

- support with weekly spellings (a grid to show each week's spellings can be found on the English tab).

- CGP revision books are being sent home again this year; each child will be set two pages of Maths and two pages of English each week, which will be revision and consolidation of what has been studied in school. These are due in on a Friday each week to be marked, and will then be sent back out the same morning. All pupils are expected to carry out all homework set in these books each week.

- pupils might also want to log in to DuoLingo and carry on their Spanish work at home!
