Welcome to Tetney Primary School.

We are very proud of our school and it is my privilege to be Chair of Governors. Tetney Primary  sits at the very heart of our village community and I know how much this school means to local  families and village residents, many of whom have seen generations pass through its doors. As a teacher, I know what great education looks like, and I see it here in our lovely school.

Ours is an inclusive school. Every child at Tetney is known, valued and encouraged to shine. Whatever a child's background, needs or starting point, they belong here, and we want them to feel it every day.

None of this happens without our fabulous staff. From our teachers and teaching assistants to our office, support staff and premises teams, every member of staff plays a part in making Tetney a safe, happy and ambitious place to learn. Their skill, care and commitment are outstanding, and I am grateful to them.

Governors are volunteers who work closely with the headteacher and staff, supporting  the school and asking  the right questions, so that the school contiunally improves . We set the strategic direction, keep a close eye on pupils' progress and wellbeing, and make sure resources are used well for every child.

Community is at the core of who we are. Families, local groups, and neighbours all help make Tetney special, and we want that partnership to grow.
