September 2011 Newsletter: Welcome back!

Meet the staff

We are holding an event after school tomorrow (Tuesday, 6th), from 3.00-4.00 pm where you are welcome to come along and meet your child’s new teacher and teaching assistant.  This will just be an informal event in the hall, with refreshments, so come along and introduce yourself.  All teachers will be there so still come along, even if you know your child’s teacher already.  Children are welcome too.

Lunch time staff

If you have a few hours a week to spare at lunch times or you know of anybody who might be interested in joining our team of lunch time staff please contact Helen in the office.

This doesn’t have to be every day, it can be just one or two regular days a week

Voluntary helpers

We always welcome any parents or other relatives who can spare some time to come into school to hear children read. Please contact your child’s teacher if you are able to help.

Contact form

A new contact form is attached to this Newsletter.  Can you please ensure it  is filled out with all accurate up to date information as it is extremely important that we know who to contact should a problem arise.

Toys

Due to some problems last year, we have decided to have a no toys policy. The children have access to lots of different playtime toys so they should no longer bring toys of any description to school and as we are no longer having Golden Time (we are implementing something different) children do not need toys for that either.

Thank You!

We had a very busy and successful morning in the summer holidays doing various jobs in the garden and around school. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Mrs Roberts & Maddy, Mrs Fenwick & Katy, Mrs Miskelly, Mollie, Thomas, Joshua & Edward, Mr Mullinger, Sarah & Katie, Mrs Stott, Mr & Mrs Clorley, Ollie & Abbie, Mrs Wood, Mrs Hill, Mr Orrell, Nathan, Katie, Meghan & Alex, Ms English & Fearne & Lydia Day. I hope I haven't missed anyone off.

Thank you so much. It was a great morning!

Arriving at school

Please ensure that children do not arrive at school before 8.50 am. Children are not supervised before this time so therefore it is unsafe for them to be on the school premises until after 8.50 am when a member of staff is on duty.
