Beech Class

A warm welcome from Miss Carter, Mrs Webster, Mr Morrison, Mrs Dixon, Mrs O'Kane and the Year 3 and 4 children of Beech Class.
In the mornings our Year 3 children work separately from the Year 4 children, before all coming together for the afternoon. On this page you can see some of what we get up to. You can see what we have planned for this term in our Newsletter.
Science
In Beech Class our Science topic was about friction and air resistance. We made some parachutes to test if size, number of holes or shape would make any difference to how fast a parachute would fall. Beech 3 have also researched parachutes and produced some leaflets with lots of information on. You can read the leaflets and see pictures from our experiments on our Parachutes page.
Roald Dahl
In Literacy the Year 3 children have been reading lots of different Roald Dahl books and learning all about him. At the end of our topic we reviewed our favourite Roald Dahl book. We looked at what we liked about the book and who we thought would like to read it as well. Read our book reports.
The Dogs Trust
Following the Dogs Trust visit, Beech Class have done a sponsored walk to raise money to sponsor two dogs from the Dog’s Trust. We have decided to sponsor Arnie and Freddie.
